2010 Kilties Spring Preview Concert

| |

Missing the summer sounds of drum corps? Longing to hear brass and percussion? Here’s your chance to hear that and so much more!  The Kilties along with the South Milwaukee Municipal Band are collaborating to present a joint concert celebrating both organizations’ 75th Anniversary.

This FREE concert will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 28th at the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center, 901 15th Avenue, South Milwaukee, WI.

The South Milwaukee Municipal Band will present a reflective musical journey of their 75-year history, highlighting marches that relate to various periods in the band’s history, as well as touching on the early jazz era, and a few of the band’s popular patriotic selections.

The Kilties will perform their parade and concert tunes as well as their entire 2010 show music, "A Night at the Opera."

The three-act musical production consists of Ride of the Valkyries (Richard Wagner); William Tell Overture (Gioachino Rossini); Bohemian Rhapsody (Freddie Mercury/Queen); and Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah (Camille Saint-Saëns). Kiltie souvenirs will also be available for purchase.

Start the summer early with the great sounds of two great musical organizations. We’ll look for you on March 28th!
