2010 Carolina Crown April Camp Report

The weather couldn’t keep anyone away from the final weekend camp of the 2010 season! There were storms all weekend; delayed flights on Friday, rain and heavy winds on us at Fort Mill on Saturday, and dragged-out travel for some on their return trips home of Sunday. Besides that weather, we had a beautifully warm and sunny weekend full of the sights and sounds of spring…DRUM CORPS!

The colorguard returned after four months away from camps (not to mention an extremely successful indoor season for the CrownGUARD!). The guard staff raved about the talent of applicants present at this camp, teaching them a number of routines: flag, dance, rifle and sabre. The colorguard worked feverishly to catch-up on lost time while the brass and percussion worked on music (along with learning some new music AND drill)! The corps members and staff have worked hear throughout the winter camps to bring another entertaining show to the field for 2010!
