Cascades Plays King Ultimate Marching Brass

| |

The Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps has become an official partner of King Ultimate Marching Brass and will exclusively march with King Instruments effective the 2010 season. With this move, they have become the newest addition to a large family of marching bands and drum corps all across the United States who have taken the leap into the next generation of instruments specifically designed for the demands of the marching environment.

“With their rich history and relentless dedication to the marching arts, Cascades represents all the qualities I love in a drum corps,” says Bo Clifton, recently appointed Director of Marketing for Background and Marching Brass at Conn-Selmer. “I’m very excited to have them on board with King Ultimate Marching Brass, and I look forward to all their performances this season!”

“We are very pleased about our new partnership with King”, says Sal Leone, Director of the Cascades. “This relationship will assure that the members of the Cascades will perform with quality horns for a long time to come. We are proud to represent King as we travel throughout the Pacific Northwest and the rest of the country.”

The Cascades Drum & Bugle Corps is the only Drum Corps International World Class Corps serving the Pacific Northwest. Members from all parts of the Northwest and other regions come together each year to produce one of the most elite musical marching groups in the country. The Cascades Drum & Bugle Corps is the longest surviving corps in the Pacific Northwest originating back in 1957 as the Seattle Thunderbirds and are the only Northwest corps to ever make finals at the DCI World Championships when they entered the field in Madison, Wisconsin in 2002. The corps is sponsored by the Northwest Youth Music Association (NYMA) which encourages development of life-long skills in Northwest youth by supporting musical and performing arts activities in collaboration with community and educational organizations. NYMA is also the proud sponsor of Brass Attack, and the DCI Portland and Boise Summer Games. For more information about Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps, visit their website: www.seattlecascades.org.
