A local youth arts organization, Creation Winterguard, recently competed in the Atlantic Indoor Association (AIA) championships and finished 5th.

By virtue of Creation’s top finish in the AIA championships, the group will advance to the Winter Guard International (WGI) championships which will be held this weekend in Dayton, Ohio. The WGI championships will feature top winterguards from across America and the world.

Creation Winterguard is a program offering of Shenandoah Sound Drum & Bugle Corps of Manassas Park, Virginia. The group’s membership is young men and women ages 14-21 who are all local high school or college students. The winterguard rehearses at Manassas Park High School and is under the direction of Lindell Palmer.
