In The News: Robert Bennett 1939-2010

Robert E. Bennett, 70, of Macungie, formerly of Trenton, NJ, died April 19 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Leanne M. (Fowler) Bennett. They celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary in June 2009. Born in Camden, NJ, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Ida (Trout) Bennett. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the Air Force honorably serving his country during the Vietnam Era. He worked for Educational Testing Service, Xerox Corporation and Air Products retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Emmaus Moravian Church where he served on the board of trustees and was financial secretary. He was also chairman of the local Drum Corp. International Committee and served on the board of the Macungie Institute.
