Oswego, IL, Returns To DCI Schedule
After a one-year hiatus, sponsors of the annual “Festival of Brass” have returned their event to the DCI calendar with a bigger and better effort set for Thursday, July 1. This year the competition will be co-sponsored by the original founding organization, the Susan M. Kiley Scholarship Fund, along with the Madison Drum & Bugle Corps Association, Inc.
Part of the Drum Corps Midwest and Drum Corps International roster for 20 years between 1988 and 2008, this year’s production will again be staged at Ken Pickerill Stadium at Oswego High School, beginning at 7:30 PM. The eight corps will include: The Cavaliers, Colt Cadets, Colts, Glassmen, Madison Scouts, Pioneer, Racine Scouts and Teal Sound.
Advance tickets are now available at the show Web site – www.festivalofbrass.com. The price for a premium reserved seat is $20.00 and $15.00 for regular reserved seats. On the day of the show, the cost will be $5.00 more per ticket. Tickets can also be purchased by calling the Oswegland Park District at 630-554-1010 or 630-896-2016, using VISA or MasterCard, through 5:00 PM on Tuesday, June 29.
