In The News: Bugles Returned To Legion
Two brass bugles, donated to a local band in the late 1940s, are back Niagara Falls, after nearly a half century out of the city.
When the Niagara Memorial Band formed in 1948, members went to various groups and solicited funds and instruments to help get started.
Among those who contributed were the Silver Cross Mothers. The women, who lost sons in the Second World War, gave the band bugles.
