In The News: Spartans Return After Taking More Than A Year Off

The Pheasant Lane Mall parking lot came alive this weekend with a sound absent last year: the cadence of drums, as the reborn Spartans Drum & Bugle Corps practiced for its first public appearance in a year and a half.

The award-winning organization is not only landing on its feet after emerging from bankruptcy, but is hitting the ground running, said its president, Paul LaFlamme Jr.

“We took last year off,” LaFlamme said.
