In The News: Spartans Right Back Where They Belong
When we last wrote about the Spartans Drum & Bugle Corps in this space some seven months ago, the Nashua-based organization was just starting to get back on its feet after a federal judge had approved its reorganization plan two months earlier at U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manchester.
More than 100 people had just turned out for a $50-a-plate fundraiser to honor the founder of the organization, Albert “Berdie” LaFlamme, and the Spartans were weeks away from a critical open house to recruit members for the 2010 season.
