In The News: Blue Stars Houdini Show Ready To Take Flight

The La Crosse Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps is ready to move up to another level this season in the world-class division of Drum Corps International.

The Blue Stars, who finished eighth the past two years at the world championships, start the 2010 season with bigger expectations and a more difficult, sophisticated and competitive show.

“Our expectations are high, and it’s not enough to just compete in world class,” said Brad Furlano, an Onalaska native and former Blue Stars drum major who is the corps’ executive director. “We have designed a show that will challenge the corps ahead of us.”
