Public invited To Open Kilties Rehearsal And Performance

| |

The Kilties Drum and Bugle Corps is inviting the public to an all-day open rehearsal and uniformed performance on Sunday, June 20th at Ameche Field at Tremper High School, 8560 26th Avenue in Kenosha, Wis. Rehearsal will begin at 9 a.m. and run until approximately 4:15 with a lunch break in the afternoon. A uniformed performance of The Kilties 2010 field show, “A Night at the Opera,” will take place at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Watching a drum and bugle corps rehearse can be an educational and enjoyable experience for families, students, and anyone interested in music, brass, percussion, marching, dancing or pageantry. During rehearsals, the show is broken down into segments. This allows viewers to see the individual elements that come together during a performance. Viewers are often surprised at the amount of time dedicated members and staff spend on details of the performance and the intricacies of the musical and visual elements of the show. There are viewing stands available at the Ameche Field so fans can enjoy the “up top” perspective of the field maneuvers of the corps.

The Kilties are an all-age co-educational drum and bugle corps focused on education and mentorship. The Kilties participate in rehearsals and performances on a weekend-only schedule which allows members to attend school, work and spend time with family. Members range in age from high school through adult. Our core values are character, honor, excellence and tradition. More information about the Kilties, including their full schedule of summer performances, can be found at www.kilties.com or by calling the Kilties at (262) 634-2100. The Kilties are sponsored in part by the Racine Community Foundation.
