In The News: Drum Corps Thunder

At 7 p.m. July 20, drum corps will be banging drums and showing the people of the Permian Basin what they can do as “Thunder in the Desert,” an annual drum corps show, rumbles into Odessa.

Drum corps featuring brass instruments, percussion instruments and color guards are similar to marching bands but are made up of different types of instruments. The lineup for “Thunder in the Desert” includes groups from Arizona, California, Washington and Texas.
