In The News: Hear The Thunder?

A musical rumble of sorts will take over Memorial High School’s Chabot McDonough Field in Manchester at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 18, when old-school drum and bugle corps come head to head with today’s new guard in a thundering, high-stepping exhibition and competition. Manchester’s Muchachos Drum & Bugle Corp hails its 50th year with its annual Fiesta de Musica celebration, a spirited show that is part of Drum Corps International’s “Summer Music Games” series.

The event will feature nine drum and bugle corps, including: The Spartans from Nashua; the 7th Regiment from New London, Conn.; Platinum from Raleigh, N.C.; Les Stentors from Sherbrooke, Quebec; The Blue Saints from Sudbury, Ontario.; the Boston Crusaders Senior Corps, and, making its first Manchester appearance, the Mass Brass, a 21-member mini-corps ensemble comprised of many regional drum and bugle corps alumni.
