There’s no place like home. That’s how the La Crosse Blue Stars felt Friday with their first home show in three years in La Crosse.

Percussionists Peter Cary and Thomas Benko last performed in La Crosse at a River City Rhapsody competition in 2007. The Blue Stars couldn’t have a home show in 2008 and 2009 due to a two-year major renovation project at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex on the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse campus.
