Crown Hosts Successful NightBEAT 2010

Carolina Crown?s premier event, NightBEAT, went off without a hitch on a surprisingly cool August evening last Sunday. This year?s event featured eight drum corps including six currently ranked in the ?top 12? of Drum Corps International (DCI). 1st Place was awarded to the home team, Carolina Crown, for only the 2nd time in NightBEAT history!

Board President Kevin Smith noted, ?Even though attendance was down slightly from last year and we didn?t make our financial goals, the event was such a positive experience for the audience we feel we accomplished our overall objective with this great event! The second straight year of such solid operational success proves to us that we made the right decision in bringing NightBEAT to District 3 Stadium and extending our Partnership in Education with the Rock Hill band programs.?
