2011 Green Thunder Auditions, Chop Sessions

After a very successful 2010 season, Green Thunder Percussion will begin its 4th season of offering serious students an advanced comprehensive percussion studies program designed to improve rudimental and orchestral percussion skills in the Chicagoland area. The organization is open to gentleman, and concurrently serves as an ideal preparation resource for those interested in auditioning for The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps. Through performance opportunities in competitive and non-competitive environments throughout the Midwest, Green Thunder Percussion provides a percussion outlet for advanced players under the instruction of some of the most talented and skilled percussive educators in the nation.

Two Chop Sessions and 2011 Auditions will be held in October 2010, with the performance season continuing through April 2011. Prospective members that audition and are accepted should plan on regular attendance and a serious personal commitment. Almost all scheduling conflicts can be worked out, and certain activities such as school performances and college auditions will take precedent. These will all be worked out at the beginning of the season. All performance dates are required. Two Sunday prep classes for prospective Green Thunder members will present the musical approach and body movement required of the group. Chop Session #1 and #2 and are open to all percussion students.
