Forte Seeking Additional Board Of Directors Members

September 30, 2010 brought a close to the first fiscal year of Forte Drum & Bugle Corps and Overture Youth Advocacy through the Arts. As we begin our second season of activity, we are seeking additional candidates to join the Board of Directors. Positions are available in specific roles, as well as the Executive Committee and Advisory Council. Candidates should submit a letter of interest and resume to executive [at] fortecorps [dot] org . Candidates will be invited to the OYAA Conference Call on October 24th.

Current board members are located in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Residence in the general area is not required.

 

Time Requirements

Executive Committee ? Monthly Meetings (conference call) and email conversation between meetings.
Full Board/Advisory Council ? Quartlerly Meetings (conference call every 3 months, with an open invitation to attend Executive Meetings monthly) and email conversation between meetings.

Desired Skills

Current Board members come from backgrounds of business and music. OYAA strives to seek a balance between performing arts professionals and business professionals to ensure the meeting of all goals set forth by the organization and founders. Special consideration will be given to candidates with skills in Finance, Accounting, Fund raising, Legal, Human Resources, Public Relations, and Community Partnership and Development.
