In The News: Drum And Bugle Corps Face Off In World Championships

Marina Auto Stadium, usually the home of soccer’s Rochester Rhinos, reverberated over the weekend with the music of drum and bugle corps from across the country and as far away as Great Britain, performing in the biggest competition of the year: the Drum Corps Associates World Championship Finals.

The intensity can’t be overstated.

Think of military precision and snap, unified movements by horn players and percussionists who play intricate music while marching into ever-changing formations. Color Guard members twirl flags and other props during 17-minute sets of concentrated energy.
