Pioneer Announces 2011 Staff/Show Coordinator

Mr. Larry Case is honored to be back with the Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps. His prior involvement with the corps, as staff and show coordinator, produced the DCI Semifinalist productions of ?Brigadoon? and ?Greensleeves.?

Historically, Larry is known for his innovative visual programs that he designed for corps such as the St. Paul Scouts, De la Salle Oaklands, Guardsmen, Troopers, Spirit of Atlanta, and the New Orleans Stardusters.

Larry is also known in the drum corps and color guard judging arena. He was a perennial judge for Drum Corps Midwest, Drum Corps East, Midwest Color Guard Circuit Association, Winter Guard International, and Drum Corps International. He has judged state band championship shows in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Nebraska, South Carolina, Louisiana, and Wisconsin. Larry is an original member of the Central States Judges Association Hall of Fame.

 

Most recently, he designed the visual program for, and was a performing member with the Royal Air Alumni Drum Corps and has been a long standing performing member of the acclaimed Hawthorne Caballero Alumni Drum Corps.

Pioneer Alumni will also remember Larry for his two sons who marched in Pioneer, Greg (Snare drummer) and Ryan (Pit/Cymbals). Larry?s wife, Sharon and their neighbor, Patsy Tongrin helped for several years in the corps? food program.

Corps Director, Roman Blenski, says that the appointment of Larry Case is a perfect fit for the corps.
