Academy Announces 2011 Brass Staff

Christian Carichner, Caption Head

Christian Carichner returns as Brass Caption Head for his 6th season with The Academy. Christian is the Assistant Professor of Tuba at The University of Central Arkansas where he teaches Tuba, Bass Trombone, Euphonium, conducts the Brass Choir, teaches Music Technology and serves as Assistant Director of the Bear Marching Band. In high demand as a clinician, Christian has presented clinics on breathing and marching band in over 15 states and recently at the International Tuba Euphonium Conference. An active international performer, Christian has performed with the Cedar Park Winds, Conway Symphony Orchestra, Little Rock Wind Symphony, a 10 state tour with Proteus 7, as part of the national tour of the hit Broadway show Chicago, and in Hof, Germany at the Rekkenze Brass Seminar. Christian is also founder of iMarch, a partnership dedicated to improving the marching arts through excellence in design and execution.
