Beatrix Introduces 2011 Brass Staff

Beatrix? is proud to present the 2011 brass staff team. The seven-man team all consists of people with very different backgrounds but they all have one passion? Beatrix?.

Captionhead and instructor for the trumpets, Elmar Zwart, has been with Beatrix? since 1995. Before that, he marched with Jong Beatrix for seven years. In his ?drumcorps career? he always played trumpet, except for one year during which he played contra. In 2006, his final marching year, Elmar was Drum Major. He received his musical education at the school of music in Hilversum from Harry Sevenstern Jr., Jos Verspagen (Radio Filharmonisch Orkest) and Beatrix? celebrity Ko van der Kolk. Elmar also has DCI experience. In 2002 he marched with Phantom Regiment. Elmar has been a member of the Beatrix? staff since 2003 and was captionhead brass in the 2008 and 2009 seasons.
