In The News: Grenadiers’ International Success Rooted In Their Community

It may officially be the off-season for the Kingston Grenadiers Drum and Bugle Corps, but the group is as busy as ever playing in many area parades and preparing for next year’s competition.

Attendees of Saturday night’s Santa Claus Parade couldn’t miss the seamless, heart-pounding music of the corps as the group marched down Princess Street, delighting spectators with their festive tunes.

Being the only all-ages competitive drum corps in Canada, the Grenadiers draw talent from as far away as northern New York and Quebec City to join their world-class group of musicians and performers, some drove for more than six hours to attend last weekend’s rehearsal camp at Ernestown Secondary School.
