Mandarins Design Team Meeting Report

The Sacramento Mandarins design team recently met in downtown San Francisco to discuss the Corps? 2011 program. While there had been numerous email and telephone conversations since the end of the 2010 season, this was the first face-to-face meeting of the entire group.

The 2011 design staff includes: Myron Rosander, visual and drill designer; Dan Fong, brass arranger; Tony Nunez, battery and front ensemble arranger. Greg Mar serves as program coordinator and is also responsible for development of the guard program.

New to the team this year is Key Poulan, who will be serving as music coordinator. Key will review and comment on draft brass scores and subsequent integration of the percussion book; Key will be involved in the development of the music program from initial design concepts to finished scores.
