Marching Music France Organises First DCE Certified French Show

| |

The first DCE Certified Show in France will take place next year. The contest will be organised by the Marching Music France organisation and will be hosted in the Claude Riguidel stadium in Quiberon.

The contest is organised in collaboration with Kadoudal Drum & Bugle Corps. After their participation in the DCE Championships in Kerkrade in 2010, the corps decided to put in a request with DCE to organise a Certified Show on French soil in 2011. The preparations are now in full swing.

“Other major European countries already have their own national organisations under the umbrella of Drum Corps Europe. We think it is time for us to join the same system in which all these countries are already involved”, said a spokesman from Marching Music France.

Because the number of corps using the drum corps style in France is limited, more classes will be added to the event, such as a class for percussion, colour guard and marching bands. The purpose of MMF is to allow French music lovers to get to know the relatively unknown drum corps style.

Registration is already open and international corps are welcome to register. The contest will take place on Saturday 20th August. More information is available at www.marchingmusicfrance.fr.
