Capital Brass! To Open 51st Annual Center For Disability Services Telethon

Capital Brass! has been selected to open up the 51st Annual, Center for Disability Services Telethon, to be broadcast Live on Sunday, Jan 30, 2011 (Fox TV 23). The group will perform a short number to start the show, at Noon; and then will return to the stage for another piece, at 12:15.

On December 18th, dozens of local acts auditioned for the show?s producers, to fill out a day-long program which will include both National and Local Sports and Entertainment personalities.

The Telethon has raised funds, for over 50 years, to help provide services and care for individuals with disabilities and chronic medical conditions, in the Capital District.

 

The performance continues a Capital Brass! tradition of working with charities and service organizations, in the Albany area; including performances for the VA Hospital, local Nursing Homes, Veterans organizations, Down Syndrome Awareness, American Cancer Society, Clover Patch Day Camp, and their recent Christmas Concert , which raised over $3000.00 for St. Catherine?s Center for Children and Families.
