Cascades Announce 2011 Percussion Co-Caption Heads

Cascades is proud to announce our 2011 Percussion Co-Caption Heads, Sean Schwartz and A.J. Pace. The Cascades administration is committed to continued improvement is all areas of the organization. Ron Comfort, Cascades Assistant Director states,”After looking at a variety of options for the percussion leadership, it was decided that a team approach would maximize results for the 2011 season. Having A.J. and Sean working together for the first time at the January camp proved that the choice was a great one. I am excited for the future of this section as they walked away this past weekend a better World Class Percussion section.”

Sean Schwartz is from Portland, Oregon. He is an alumni of the Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps and is in his third year teaching for the drum corps. Sean performed with the Cascades (05-06), and OC Indoor (09). He has taught at numerous Schools in the Northwest including Century High School, Brown Middle School, Sprague High School, Sunset Middle School Percussion, and Sunset High School. He is also currently teaching at OCI Winter Drumline and has been with OCI since he aged out in ’09.
