Long Time Phantom Regiment Volunteer Passes Away

Duane Fay (along with wife, Florence Keres Fay) was one of Regiment’s long time volunteers in the 70’s and 80’s, helping out in many capacities, most notably cooking and driving. Duane and Florence remained supporters of the Regiment for many years after volunteering.

Sadly, Duane passed away on Friday January 7. Our deepest condolences go out to the Fay & Keres families. Read more from the obituary.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2011, in the First Presbyterian Church, 208 W. Winnebago St., Winnebago. Burial in Willwood Burial Park, Rockford. Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2011, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago.
