Santa Clara Vanguard Announce 2011 Drum Majors

The Santa Clara Vanguard is proud to announce their drum majors for the 2011 season. Fifth-year veteran trumpet player Brandn Lindsey, 21, a student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, will lead the corps this summer, assisted by fourth-year veteran trumpet player Justin Cunha, 20, a student at DeAnza College in Cupertino, and a resident of Sunnyvale, CA.

Both were previously members of the Vanguard Cadets and have multiple family members who have been involved in the drum corps activity since the 1970s.

Before marching with the Vanguard Cadets in 2006, Brandn had spent two years marching with Pioneer. His father, Bobby Lindsey, was an instructional staff member with Pioneer from 1989 through 2004 and served as the corps’ director in 2005.
