Teal Sound DM Reports On 2011 DCI Winter Meetings

This past weekend at the DCI World Headquarters was great. I met up with Drum Majors from open class and world class corps. We all got along really well. The instructional staff taught us leadership fundamentals, methods of stronger communications, the basic role of a drum major and how to listen to your membership and staff.

It was a great experience for me to travel to Indianapolis (It was my first time ever flying on an airplane) to meet all of the different drum majors, and to act as a sponge and absorb all the information that was placed in front of us

It was truly a great weekend for me and I gained a lot more insight and confidence with the information I received. I’m ready to apply what I’ve learned and have a very successful season leading Teal Sound onto the field for rehearsal and for performances during 2011!
