Mt. Juliet, TN – February, 2011 –  The legendary Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps of Boston, Massachusetts have elected to perform exclusively on Jupiter Quantum series brass, Mapex Quantum marching drums and Majestic concert/field percussion instruments beginning with the 2011 DCI competitive season.

The Quantum Marching series was introduced in 2008 and is now widely used in DCI, WGI, and DCA as well as among countless top schools and universities across the country.  Jupiter, Mapex, and Majestic Quantum models are the official instruments of the Macy’s Great American Marching Band and the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band.

“Partnering with one of the world’s most respected marching musical ensembles validates our continued commitment to the development of quality instruments,” said Tabor Stamper, President of KHS America, Inc. “With the fierce competition in the market today, we are honored that the Crusaders have chosen our world-class marching instruments.”

The Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps, founded in 1940, is the third-oldest junior drum and bugle corps in the nation and is one of the charter members of Drum Corps International.  Their mission is to provide members with an opportunity to reach their highest potential through a dynamic and unique combination of artistic, athletic, and life goals unique to the organization.

“We are very excited to work with the folks at Jupiter, Mapex & Majestic,” said Tom Spataro, Executive Director of the Boston Crusaders.  “There is a clear commitment to the marching arts as well as music education and that is a commitment that we at the Boston Crusaders share.  The quality of the instruments and the service we’ve already seen from our new friends at KHS America is truly outstanding, and I know our fans will like what they hear.”
