End Is Near For Current Setup Of DCG

The end of Drum Corps Germany as an association with members is near. On 19th February a new board needs to be elected and current board members will make their seats available. However, new candidates for the board have not yet been found.

Due to other commitments, the current board members of DCG have stated that they can’t continue their duties. No new board members have applied for the members’ meeting, so the association Drum Corps Germany will cease to exist. DCG will remain as a ‘drum corps community’, but without the structure of an association. What this entails exactly is not yet known.

The German drum corps season had been struggling for several years. DCG had already ceased organising contests. The German Open will continue because it is an independent championship and is not linked to DCG.
