2011 California State Open Hosted By SCV Cadets

Drum corps returns to Fremont, CA for the second year in-a-row, as the annual California State Open Championship, featuring the best Drum Corps International Open Class corps in the United States, will be hosted by the Vanguard Cadets on Saturday evening, July 9 at Tak Fudenna Memorial Stadium in Fremont, CA.

The California State Open will feature DCI World Class competitor Mandarins, as well as the current DCI Open Class defending world champion Blue Devil ‘B’ competing against the only corps to defeat them in 2010, the host Vanguard Cadets, as well as the following Open Class corps: Impulse, City Sound, Spokane Thunder, Velvet Knights and Blue Devils ‘C’. The San Francisco Renegades and SoCal Dream will be competing in the All-Age division.
