Academy Benefit Event A Success

Nearly 250 performers, guests, volunteers, and parents participated in the 2011 benefit event for The Academy last Friday. The evening was filled with great performances by The Academy hornline, the Winter Youth Guard, a dance solo by Paige Carter, marimba solo and tuba duet by Zack Whittier and Becky McGinn, and a solo snare drum performance by trainee drummer Brandon Olander. Tons of auction items were given away and all had a wonderful time. This celebration of our 10th anniversary raised around $22,000, helping to keep The Academy on track for reaching its financial goals for 2011. Could not make it that evening?
