Bill Cook 1931-2011
Bill Cook, founder of the Bloomington-based medical equipment manufacturer Cook Group Inc. and a major philanthropist in the Bloomington area, died around 4:30 p.m. Friday at his home in Bloomington. He was 80.
Funeral arrangements are pending at The Funeral Chapel of Powell & Deckard in Bloomington.
Despite years of dealing with congestive heart failure, Cook continued to be an active presence at the Cook Group and in the community, said Steve Ferguson, chairman of Cook Group Inc.
