Cavaliers Celebrate WGI Month

This week marks the start of Winter Guard International’s 2011 World Championships in Dayton, Ohio, and The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps would like to wish all competing winter guards and indoor percussion ensembles the best over the next two weekends.

The Cavaliers are charter members of WGI, and the corps has had hundreds of members, staff and alumni take part in the annual winter pageantry championships through the years. Our very own Cavalier Winter Guard competed from 1978 through 1983, as well as 1985 and 1988, winning a total of five medals: one bronze in 1980, one silver in 1988 and three gold in 1981, 1982 and 1983.
