Drum Corps Legend Al Chez To Make New York City Debut

| |

Former Cadets Member, Drum Corps International instructor (Crossmen), and CBS Late Night Show Trumpeter Al Chez, is making his New York City debut performance at 9:00pm on May 7th at Dominion NY. His band, Al Chez & the Brothers of Funk was formed in 2008, when Al met up with trumpet player Jimmy Steele and Jarred Streiff while working in the Rochester, NY area.

This 17-person band is not your typical big band. The band consists of some of the most talented and sought after working musicians in the New York and New Jersey area. Powerful arrangements by Chuck Naffier, coupled with Al’s stratospheric trumpet playing and soulful vocals make for a high-energy and memorable show. The band has received much critical acclaim and was proclaimed “the best of the festival” by CNY.com after performing in the 2009 Syracuse Jazz Festival. CBS.com says the Brothers Of Funk are “A great mix of rock, funk, swing and plain good fun. Chez is the frontman with that big horn sound!”

This performance will be recorded live and is a show you do not want to miss!
