Capital Brass! Goes To West Virginia

| |

Capital Brass! has taken significant steps, since January; aiming to upgrade the group, to function as an integral component of Brass-O-Mania! Productions; providing Live, acoustic music for all types of venues and occasions. Performing with a basic group of 11 musicians, plus a few alternates, CB! shares players with the other BOM ensembles, and adds up to a half dozen additional players for parades and other events, as needed.

After beginning rehearsals, just in January, Capital Brass! kicked off 2011 with a performance at the Springfield, MA. BHoF event. The performance was well received, and was a warm-up for the group’s first regional TV appearance; opening up the 51st Annual Center for Disability Services Telethon on Fox TV.

The remainder of the year will find CB! as busy as ever; with 20 parade gigs, as well as several appearances in concerts and ceremonies throughout the Northeast; including, in the next few weeks, a 2-hour Memorial Day Weekend concert in Waterford, and Graduation Ceremony at St. Gregory School.

On May 21st, the group will travel to Buchanon, for their first appearance at the West Virginia Strawberry Festival; leaving their jazz esemble, SNAP!, at home to sub-in at the annual NiskaDay celebration on the same date.
