In The News: UW’s Zamora Puts Summer On The Road In Perspective
David Zamora is a couple of years removed from his high school days at Cheyenne East.
He’s a junior at the University of Wyoming, majoring in criminal justice. But instead of working this summer to save money for school, he’ll spend $2,400 for the privilege of squishing into a hot charter bus, sleeping a precious few hours on the floor of some high school gym somewhere, and sweating on a Midwestern high school practice field, some days for nearly 12 hours.
