Santa Clara Vanguard Seeking Three Brass Players

The 2011 Vanguard is looking to promptly fill three open positions in their 75-person brass section. SCV is seeking a lower or ‘split’ lead trumpet, as well as a French Horn/Mellophone player and a lead baritone between the ages of 17-21, who will have college-level music performance capabilities, to fill current openings in their 2011 brass section. Drum corps experience is NOT a prerequisite, but some experience of moving while playing a brass instrument is essential. The ideal candidates would be in strong physical condition and should be serious about furthering their musical education, as we develop and refine our 2011 program: The Devil’s Staircase.
