There are 150 members of the Rockford-based Phantom Regiment, which will perform its annual Show of Shows July 17 at Boylan Catholic High School, kicking off a tour of drum and bugle corps champions.

Just one member is from Rockford: Jeremy Lewis, 19. He is a native of the city who graduated from Lutheran High School in 2010, attended Rock Valley College — both in Rockford — and this fall plans to enter the University of Kentucky to major in music education and percussion performance.
