In The News: Local Teens In Drum Corp Win Silver At Nationals

Eight teenagers from Mukilteo competed in the World Championships for the Drum Corp International competition, held Aug. 11 in Indianapolis. The movie “Drumline” is the Hollywood version of this contest.

Seven Kamiak High School students and one recent grad are part of a drum corp called The Oregon Crusaders. Because they placed second at nationals Aug. 9 in Michigan City, Ind., the Crusaders were invited to compete in the world competition.
