Schüssler First German DCI Champion

Philipp Schüssler from Gevelsberg is the first German who can call himself a DCI champion. This year, he was part of the mellophone line of The Cadets, who became the 2011 World Class Champions in Indianapolis two weeks ago.

Since 2006, Schüssler has marched with a DCI top corps in the States every year. In 2006 and 2007, he marched with the Boston Crusaders and from 2007 to 2011 he marched with The Cadets, with whom he finally reached the highest stage in the DCI World Class. At the same time, Schüßler had to complete his studies. His studies and DCI career were combined with the help of his school teachers. The school staff saw that he benefitted from his participation in the DCI competition.
