2011 Beatrix DCE Finals Report

It was an exhausting day, but not without reward. Beatrix’ ended in second place in the Dutch DCN Championships and became fifth in in the evening for the European DCE Championships.

The members had to rise early; most of them even far before 7:00. Everyone had to be ready to leave for Kerkrade at 8:00, a two hour trip. As soon as we left the percussion members took their drum pads out of their bags and the guard started doing their make-up. This year there wasn’t a movie but instead a recording of the last run of the night before. After the trip with a break halfway, the corps arrived in Kerkrade at 11:00.
