DCE Olympic Retreat Becomes Award Ceremony

Drum Corps Europe has decided to rename the Olympic Retreat as the Award Ceremony. According to DCE, the ancient name Olympic Retreat no longer covered the contents of the event at the DCE European Championships Premier Class Finals.

Together with the name change, DCE has also decided to remove the massed piece performance. Instead, the Premier Class champions will perform immediately after the Award Ceremony. DCE noticed that corps prefer to work on their own music towards the European Championships, which the DCE board fully understands and respects.
