In The News: Brew Fest A Little Flatter, But Still Deemed Success
The weekend’s Great Lakes Brew Fest had fewer attendees than last year but was still considered a success by organizers, who this year changed venues for the first time in the festival’s eight year history.
Organizers cited a struggling economy and absence of home-brewed beer as reasons attendance fell from 4,500 last year to about 4,000 this year at the beer-tasting, food and music festival. The change in venue – from Festival Park to the Racine Zoo – likely wasn’t a factor, said Curt Foreman, Brew Fest co-chairman and founder.
