J.D. Shaw joins SCV design team

Santa Clara Vanguard is excited to announce the appointment of J.D. Shaw to the position of brass arranger/composer. With this appointment, Shaw will join the SCV design team, replacing Key Poulan, who recently resigned from his Vanguard arranging responsibilities due to family commitments.

“I couldn’t be more excited about joining the Vanguard team. In all of my years of drum corps, I have looked upon SCV as upholding all the ideals of emotionally stirring music and visual precision. Working with an organization that has such strong roots of blending tradition with innovation will be an exhilarating venture and I am honored to have been chosen,” stated Shaw.
