2012 Cadets Camp #1 Saturday Camp Report

So far on Saturday…

The second day of The Cadets’ 2012 season started at 8:30 this morning with a pancake and sausage breakfast, and at 9:30, they got right to work.

After a good stretch with the drum majors, Patrick Crowley led the corps through some physical training exercises. Then he took the corps out into the chilly New Jersey morning for a run (about a mile and a half) around the school. This was a bit of a wake-up call for some, but the goal is simply to encourage endurance training now, so The Cadets go into spring training strong in May. Strength and endurance training during the winter and spring dramatically decreases the number of injuries throughout the summer.
