Lizotte Returns To Lead 2012 Colts Brass Team

Tom Lizotte returns to the 2012 Colts staff in the role of Brass Caption Head. Joining Tom are DCI Hall of Famers Freddy Martin and Frank Dorritie. In addition to this distinguished trio, the brass staff will consist of Freddy’s son, Michael Martin, a few new faces, as well as some great educators from the 2011 Colts brass team. Tom has been involved in drum corps for over 35 years. He has worked with the Cadets, 27th Lancers and North Star, as well as several DCA corps on the East coast. He most recently worked with Boston Crusaders and Glassmen. Tom has also been an integral part of the Colt Cadets design team serving the group as Program Consultant.

“We are pleased to have Tom Lizotte joining us in this capacity,” said Colts Director Greg Orwoll. “He is one of the best educators I have had the chance to work with and a great musical resource for the corps. The talented support staff he has assembled will lay the foundation for some great brass lines for years to come.”

Said Lizotte, “I look at this project as an extension of my recent work with the Colt Cadets. I believe deeply in the mission of the Colts organization and our shared philosophy that education and the audience are vitally important.”
