2012 Cavaliers Chicago Clinic/Audition Camp Report

The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps held its first Clinic/Audition Camp for the 2012 season the weekend of November 18-20 in Elgin, Ill., at Fox River Country Day School. With weather that cooperated nicely over the three-day camp, “the anticipation of another standard-setting edition of the Green Machine was in the air,” said Tour Director Mark Ackerson.

Talented young performers from across the United States, England and Japan gathered after months of vigorous preparation to get a sense of what it would take to become a member of The Cavaliers in 2012. Brass, percussion and color guard attendees learned exercises, techniques and musical and visual concepts, while having an opportunity to audition individually, as well as in smaller groups.
