In The News: Drum, Bugle Corps Named For WWII General

The Rev. Jerry Ozlanski remembers marching through Mount Carmel some 60 years ago, performing as part of a drum and bugle corps named for a hometown hero.

Ozlanski, 72, was a member of the Gavinaires, a group formed in 1948 and sponsored by the American Legion to honor Gen. James M. Gavin, a Mount Carmel resident who led the 82nd Airborne Division during World War II.
